The word kielbasa is Polish. Poland is known for kielbasa. However, there are many types. It is the common word to use when referred to all sausages.
One must specify when differentiating between the type of sausages.
Similar to sausages in the United States, sausages in Poland, can also be fresh, smoked, cured, fresh, and may include any variety of meats and spices.
Cooking kielbasa is very simple over the stove. And it is even simpler in the air fryer.
How do you cook sausages in an Air fryer?
This is our favorite way to cook air fryer sausages; especially kielbasa, or any sausage for that matter.
To cook kielbasa in air fryer, first, remove the sausage from the package. Give it a quick rinse under cold water. This is to ensure that you rinse off any prior handling.
Leave the sausage whole, or cut it into desired size.
Place the sausage in the air fryer basket and cook to your desired consistency. Shake halfway through.
How long do you cook Kielbasa sausages in the air fryer?
Cooking air fryer Kielbasa is very simple. We recommend cooking the sausage for 10-12 minutes. Be mindful that not all air fryers are the same. Time and temperature may differ based on the air fryer you have.
Your air fryer kielbasa sausage will take between 10-12 minutes to cook; and this will allow the meat to fully and safely cook, as well brown the outside on all sides.
What temperature to cook Air Fryer Sausage?
Cook sausages at 400 degrees, for 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches an internal temperature of 165 F using a meat thermometer.
Should I use parchment paper?
Using parchment paper is completely optional. It can help lessen the cleaning process, but it is not necessary.
How To Cook Frozen Sausage In Air Fryer?
If your sausage, or kielbasa is frozen, you can still cook them as instructed above, but add an additional 5-10 minutes to cook them.
Other Cooking Methods
Pan Fry
Cut sausage sections in half lengthwise or into 1’2″ slices. Add to non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook 6-9 minutes, turning frequently.
Boiling
Add sausage to 2-3 inches of boiling water. Simmer for 10-12 minutes.
Grill
Grill over medium-high heat for 12-14 minutes, turning frequently.
When cooking the sausage, it is best to cut the sausage into bite size pieces.
