Making these mouthwatering flavorful garlic mushrooms in the air fryer is a quick and easy side dish that pairs with everything. Toss them in garlic, oil, and herbs to complete any weeknight meal.
You will love this easy and delicious side dish that’s low carb and Keto approved!
These simple and juicy mushrooms take 10 minutes to make. You can pair them with this Haitian cornmeal, this Haitian chicken stew, or with this dill rice to make a complete meal.
I have previously shared mushroom recipes on this blog before, like this Haitian Black Rice which is a very popular dish in Haiti. This mushroom burger and this mushroom pizza.
They are so tasty. They also serve elegantly as a side dish for a dinner party, special occasions, Easter – and if you pair them for Easter, pair the mushroom buttons with these lamb chops.
They also sit well on an Outdoor Easter Tablescape!
What ingredients are needed?
Silky mushrooms tossed in pure goodness. If you’ve never had prepared garlic mushrooms in the air fryer before, my friends, this needs to be added to your list of air fryer recipes because it’s so darn good and easy.
The ingredients that are used to prepare these mushrooms are fresh, and packed with bold flavor. If you don’t already love mushrooms, this recipe will make you fall in love with both your air fryer and mushrooms.
Ingredients needed to make this recipe:
- 8 Oz. Button Mushrooms – You can use whatever mushrooms you want – however, I prefer the button mushrooms because they can go from being a part of a simple weeknight meal to being served elegantly during the holiday or special occasions. That’s what
make this recipe works! - 4 Garlic Cloves – Minced. Another star of the dish. Use fresh garlic cloves if possible.
- Herbs – Both fresh and dried herbs will work for this recipe. However, the flavors will intensify with fresh herbs. I chose to use fresh curly parsley and 1 rosemary sprig.
- Salt & pepper – To taste – Or ½ teaspoon of kosher salt and pepper.
- 2 Tbsp. Grapeseed oil –You can use whichever oil you’d like. I find the avocado oil leaves a bold flavor.
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce and 1 Tbsp. Premium glaze – This is not necessary but it adds a little zing to the mushroom and
give them a little perk!
The premium glaze is thicker than the traditional balsamic vinegar. It has a thick consistency and balanced sweetness with tart balsamic flavor. It’s great to drizzle over any dish from fish, vegetables, cheese, desserts, fruits, poultry.
Mushrooms unfortunately are split in half when it comes to debating how people feel about them. Although they are fungi, they are often refer to as vegetables or “meat replacement”.
They are low in calories. They’re rich in antioxidants to prevent cancer and inflammation. They are fat and cholesterol-free.
Normally, these garlic mushrooms are cooked over the stove, however, you will love this air fryer twist and the simple ingredients we used to prepare them!
How to clean mushrooms?
Place the mushrooms in a suitable bowl. Lightly rinse them under cold water. Be sure to not over soak the mushrooms as you do not want them to absorb all of the water. Use a paper towel to pat dry the mushrooms.
You may also use a damp paper towel to clean the mushrooms one by one to remove any dirt.
How to make garlic mushrooms in the air fryer?
Wash the mushrooms. Pat dry and set aside.
In a large or suitable size bowl, well combine the oil, white wine vinegar, Worcestershiresauce, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
Add the mushrooms to the sauce. Transfer the mushrooms in the air fryer basket and cook on 370 degrees for 10 minutes or until they are tender, tossing and turning halfway through for even cooking.
Topped with fresh parsley and serve warm as a side.
How to store leftover mushrooms?
Storing leftover mushroom is very simple! All you need to do is refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container, and enjoy it throughout the week with other dishes as it will stay fresh for up to a week.
