Dill Rice
Truly one of our favorite meals to make. Dill rice reminds me of our popular Haitian Black Rice at first glance.
Dill rice is a Delicious, bold Persian rice dish that’s made with just a few ingredients. A simple rice recipe that stands alone as part of the main course or sits nicely in the background to be served as a side.
Dilkush Bread
You cannot resist this bread. Dilkush Bread is a very popular Indian dessert snack that’s made primarily with puff pastry and or bread dough with dried fruits, and of course coconut mixture.
Dumplings
When we think of quick and easy dishes, the first dish that comes to mind are the Haitian boiled dumplings. They are an irresistible vegetarian comfort dish at its best.

Dahi Vada
Dahi vada is also known as “dahi vade” in Marathi, dahi vada in Hindi. It is a type of snack deriving from the Indian subcontinent and is very popular throughout South Asia.
Dolmas
Temperature does not affect this dish. Dolma can be served warm or cold. Dolmas are filled with bold flavors. They are made of stuffed grape leaves, and are also known as dolmades, and is very popular in Mediterranean dishes.
These rolls are usually packed with rice, meat, and warm herbs and spices. Loads of fresh herbs and warm spices, then cooked in a bright lemony broth.
Durian Fruit
Named in some regions as the “king of fruits”, Durian is unique for its large size, strong odor and thorn-covered rind.
The smell is often compared to molded cheese. The fruit can grow as large as 30 centimetres (12 inches) long and 15 cm (6 in) in diameter, and it typically weighs 1 to 3 kilograms (2 to 7 pounds).
The durian is cultivated in tropical regions and will not grow when the daily temperatures drop below 22 °C (72 °F).Indonesia has more than 103 varieties of durian.
Dark Chocolate
Need to say more? Everyone’s favorite. Also known as Dark black chocolate, black chocolate, and plain chocolate, it contains cocoa solids. It is perfect for baking, like in this air fryer chocolate chip cheese cake, or in these vegan chocolate chip cookies.
Dasheen
most commonly known as taro, kalo, dasheen or godere, Colocasia esculenta is a tropical plant grown primarily for its edible corms, a root vegetable.
Taro is one of the most ancient cultivated crops. Taro is found widely in tropical and subtropical regions of South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Papua New Guinea, and northern Australia.
Dasheen is now enjoyed around the world and has many health benefits.

Drumstick
Known as the golden rain tree, the drumstick tree, also commonly known as moringa, has roots that resembles horseradish in taste, and is known for its multipurpose use.
The moringa tree is grown mainly in semiarid, tropical, and subtropical areas. Moringa is a sun- and heat-loving plant and does not tolerate freezing or frost.

Dewberry is a small low-growing shrub with many health benefits. It is a deciduous shrub that normally grows about 2 m (6 ft. 7 in) tall with biennial stems which die after fruiting in their second year.

It can help to prevents cancer. Including dewberries in your diet on a regular basis may help prevent cancer from surfacing.
If you suffer from high blood pressure, dewberry also help to reduce high blood pressure and lower cholesterol.
Dewberry also help with healthy skin and serve as a cure eye problem. Dewberry is rich in Vitamin A which is beneficial for curing eye problems.
Donut
If you love cakes, then you cannot resist donuts. Donuts are basically fried cakes, and they are perfect throughout the year.
Duck
Duck meat is very tasty and can be enjoyed with mashed cauliflower, steamed cabbage, or Caesar salads.
Doughboy
Doughboy is usually served warm and is a round lump of dough that is fried.

Date-Plum
Mainly found and native to southeast Europe and southwest Asia, date-plums are a cross between dates and plums.
Date plum scientifically known as Diospyros lotus is a tree species in the genus Diospyros which contains approximately 763 to 793 species.
Date-plums belong to the family of the Ebenaceae (Ebony Family). There are two types of date plums; yellow and orange in color.
Immature date plum fruits have a cooling effect and can treat constipation.
They can be consumed raw or cooked.
