Salmon – Choose salmon that’s good quality but that is also cost-effective. We spent $8.70
Seasoning – Jacmel seasoning is $.64 for two tablespoons Or use the seasoning you have in your pantry.
Olive Oil – $.31 for 1 tablespoon.
Red Onion – $.94 – All you need is one red onion and add an earthy crunchy flavor.
Lemon / Lime – $.58 – One lemon will suffice. I like to serve these salmon tacos with fresh lime or lemon wedges to squeeze on top before eating!
Tacos – $2.44 for a pack of 10 hard or soft shell tacos.

How To Store Your Tacos & Make Meal Prep
Prepping comes in handy any time of the week to make dinner a breeze. Prep as many ingredients as possible the day before taco night. Here are some dinner efficiency tips.
- Prepare the salmon and sauce ahead of time. Prep the salmon ahead of time. The salmon cooks quickly. You can prepare it the night before and reheat it when it is time to serve.
- If you are making your tortilla. I recommend that you prepare your tortilla the day you will serve the tacos as this will ensure they stay warm and fresh.
- Prepare the lettuce / Condiments. The lettuce and other condiments (minus the avocado) can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days.
- Storing leftover salmon: Salmon can be refrigerated for 3 days or frozen for 3 months in an airtight container.

Salmon Tacos
Equipment

Ingredients
- 2 Salmon Fillets; Cut into 1 inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp. Jacmel Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- ¼ Cup Water; More to create more sauce
- Diced Onions
- 2 Tbsp. Chopped Fresh Parsley
- 1 Lemon or Lime
- Salt to taste; Optional
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry the salmon. Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes. Season the salmon with the Jacmel seasoning. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil on top, then add half of the lemon juice. Mix well. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes. Over medium heat, add heat 1 tablespoon oil. Then add the salmon. Reserve the seasoning mixture. Cook the salmon, and while the salmon is cooking add ½ cup water to the bowl. Stir or swirl the water around the bowl and pour the water onto the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low, and add the chopped parsley. Adjust the seasoning if needed (add salt if needed).Allow to cook /simmer for 2-3 minutes. When the salmon is cooked to your desired texture and consistency, remove the salmon from the stove and assemble the tacos. Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley, lettuce, lemon or lime wedge, tomatoes, and avocado.
