These mango with Tajin popsicles are so easy to make! They’re a refreshing way to cool down on a hot day with a little spice and are loved by kids and adults!
What is Tajin?
Dating back as early as 1985 and originated in Mexico, the Tajín blend is a spice blend that’s made of mild chili peppers, lime and sea salt.
The blend was created as a way for families to enjoy and enhance the flavors of your fruits and veggies.
What does Tajin seasoning taste like?
As mentioned in the blend, Tajin has a low heat level from the peppers that are used, followed by a hint of lime.
Is It Spicy?
It may have small kick if you are not too familiar with the bold spices that are used to make Tajin. However, it is not overly spicy as this recipe uses only ½ of teaspoon of the seasoning.
If you do not want it to be spicy, you can definitely remove the seasoning blend and just add the mango puree to the popsicle mold as is.
If you’d like to add or substitute the seasoning blend, you may use cayenne pepper or choose from the list of substitutes for cayenne pepper here.

Tajin is mildly hot. You do not need much of it to add some heat to a dish.

How To Ripen A Mango?
As stated above, we used the Honey Mango. However, if your mango has not ripened, here are a few steps to follow below to ripen your mangoes.
- Keep the unripe mangoes on the counter. By keeping the mangoes on the counter, the room temperature will help to speed up the process. This process can take about one week.
- Feel free to place the mangoes in a brown paper bag. Place the mangoes in a brown bag and let it sit on the counter. This will cause ethylene to be present in the bag and will help the mango to ripe faster.
- If you are not using the mangoes right away, place the mangoes in the refrigerator to keep them from ripening.
Ingredients
These three-ingredient pops are the easiest summer sweet to make. You do not need to do much. Just simple three ingredients will work. Here’s what you’ll need:
Fresh Mango– We used honey mangoes. However, any ripe mango will work for this recipe. You can also use frozen mangoes if you are no able to get the fresh ripe mangos.
Water – To help with the blending.
Tajin Seasoning – This is what take the popsicles to the next level. This seasoning blend can be found at any grocery store, international market, or online.
How to cut a mango?
If you want to learn how to cut a mango, it is quite simple. Start by cutting one side of the mango after you have washed it.
Repeat the step for the other sides. Starting with one of the slices, use a paring knife to slice the mango vertically, then horizontally. Be careful to not cut your fingers or hand.
Use your fingers to push the skin from the bottom upward pushing out the diced mangos up towards you.
Use a spoon or the knife to cut out the pieces.
If you are not comfortable cutting the mango this way, simply slice the mango on all sides, discarding the core.
Use the knife to peel the skin off. Then use the peeled slices as desired.
How To Make Mango With Tajin Popsicles?
All you need is 5-10 minutes of you time to make this delicious mango popsicles with Tajin. It is best to use a food processor or a high performing blender.
Gather the ingredients. Wash and pat dry the mangos. Peel and slice the mangoes.
In a food processor, add the water. This will help the mango not stick to the bottom of the blade.
Next, add the mango slices. Then add a splash (about ½ teaspoon) of Tajin seasoning to the mangos. Puree and blend well. Puree until smooth consistency is reached.
Pour the puree mango into the molds. Add a few more splashes of the Tajin seasoning to top of the mango.
Place the molds in the freezer for 6 -8 hours or until firm. Serve and enjoy!!!
Preparation Tips
- Get creative with molds, Amazon has cute and summery molds to use. This will entice the kids to eat more.
- Use ripe mangos. The sweeter the better!
- Feel free to add fruits and pineapples.
Make Ahead
You can definitely make these popsicles in advance then serve when it is time to entertain.
Simply blend all of the ingredients then freeze. Serve frozen when ready to enjoy!

How Long Do Mango Popsicles Last In The In Freezer?
These popsicles will last up to eight months in the freezer.
It is best to use a freezer safe bag to keep the popsicles fresh, safe and easily accessible when ready to eat.
