Tips for the Best Frozen Berry Margarita
Use a high-powered blender. Frozen berries can be tough to break down. A good blender makes sure your drink is smooth, not chunky.
Adjust sweetness to taste. Frozen berries vary in sweetness depending on the mix. Taste after blending and tweak if needed.
No triple sec? You can swap in orange juice with a splash of simple syrup or agave.
Want to make it a mocktail? Skip the tequila and triple sec and blend the berries with lime juice, a bit of honey, and club soda. Still delicious!
How to Store Leftovers (If That Ever Happens…)
Let’s be real—this drink rarely lasts long enough to have leftovers. But if you make a big batch and have some left:
Store in the freezer: Pour any leftovers into a freezer-safe container with a lid. When you’re ready for round two, let it sit at room temp for 10–15 minutes, then re-blend or stir to refresh.
Re-blend to revive: Add a little splash of water or club soda to help it loosen up before re-blending.
What to Serve with Frozen Berry Margaritas
Pairing this drink is actually fun because it works with both sweet and savory bites. Here are my go-to combos:
Chips and guac or fried plantains – Always a win. The salty crunch + creamy avocado is perfect with the fruity drink.
Grilled shrimp or chicken tacos – The margarita cuts through spice and adds a fruity note.
Cheesecake bites or lemon bars – If you’re going the dessert route, something creamy or citrusy makes a great partner.
Spicy salsa or fruit salsa – The sweet berries balance any heat.
