Candied Plums Recipe

Our easy end of summer, early fall and holiday favorite; this candied plum topped with a generous scoop of ice cream is the perfect treat to make any dessert night worthwhile.

  • 4 Plums
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Water
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • Favorite Topping ice cream, whipped cream or nuts


Stovetop Method

  • Wash and slice the plums evenly. In a small saucepan, add the butter, plums, water, sugar, and vanilla extract.
    Cook over medium low heat covered for 3 minutes. Stirring occasionally.

  • Remove from stove, allow to cool, and serve as a topping over your favorite ice cream.

Air Fryer Method

  • Cut the plums in half. Remove the seed. Set aside.
    In a small bowl, add the butter and let in the microwave. Then add the sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well to combine.

  • Use a pastry brush, brush the mixture over the plums. Place in a tray or air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
    Remove the plums from the basket and top with your favorite ice cream, whipped cream, yogurt, or nuts.
