Our easy end of summer, early fall and holiday favorite; this candied plum topped with a generous scoop of ice cream is the perfect treat to make any dessert night worthwhile.
Wash and slice the plums evenly. In a small saucepan, add the butter, plums, water, sugar, and vanilla extract.Cook over medium low heat covered for 3 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
Remove from stove, allow to cool, and serve as a topping over your favorite ice cream.
Air Fryer Method
Cut the plums in half. Remove the seed. Set aside.In a small bowl, add the butter and let in the microwave. Then add the sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well to combine.
Use a pastry brush, brush the mixture over the plums. Place in a tray or air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.Remove the plums from the basket and top with your favorite ice cream, whipped cream, yogurt, or nuts.
