Tips For Perfect Dill Rice

  • Rinse the rice until the water runs clear to remove excess starch and prevent clumping.
  • Use a pot with a tight-fitting lid to help trap steam.
  • Add peas at the end so they stay bright green.
  • You can wrap the pot lid with a kitchen towel to absorb condensation — a traditional Persian technique that helps keep rice from becoming soggy.
  • Brown rice can be used but will require a longer cooking time.
