  • 0.66 lbs. Store-bought lightly roasted almonds; about 1 ½ cups
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  • Soak the Almonds: Add your almonds to a bowl and cover with 4 cups of water. Let them soak for 30 minutes. This step softens the nuts and makes blending easier.
    Dry and Roast: Pat the almonds completely dry using a clean towel. Spread them evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    Roast in the oven at 400°F (204°C) for 8–10 minutes, stirring halfway through for even color.

  • Blend Until Creamy: Once roasted, let the almonds cool slightly. Transfer them to a high-speed blender or food processor.
    Blend, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides.
    At first, you’ll get a crumbly meal, then a thick paste, and finally a smooth, creamy almond butter. The process takes 8–12 minutes, depending on your blender’s power.
