Ingredients

  • ¾ Cup Organic Ketchup
  • ½ Cup Organic Molasses
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Minced, or about 4 cloves
  • ½ Tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1 Sprig Thyme
  • 2 Sprigs Parsley
  • 1 Basil Leaf
  • 1 Sage Leaf
  • 1 Small Onion Minced
  • Cayenne Pepper Optional; for heat

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan. Sauté onions until it softens, then add the garlic. Cook until fragrant.

  • Add herbs, stir until well combined, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

  • Remove from heat. Allow sauce to cool and thicken.

Notes

Store this vegan bbq sauce recipe in an airtight container. It will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Just make sure that you allow the sauce to cool off before you put it away.
