Ingredients

Haitian Meatballs

  • 1 ½ lbs. Ground Meat 50% ground beef, 50% ground turkey
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ½ cup Haitian Epis or 2 tbsp. better than bouillon beef base
  • 3 Garlic Cloves fresh, minced.
  • 1 tbsp. Fresh Parsley chopped
  • ½ cup Breadcrumbs unseasoned
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive Oil Spray

Tomato Paste Sauce

  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • cup Yellow Onions diced or chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Tomato Paste
  • 1 tbsp. Chopped Parsley Fresh
  • 2 tbsp. Haitian Epis
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions

Haitian Meatballs

  • Mix the meat and the remaining ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Roll the meatball into desired size.
  • Place the meatballs in the basket. Spray with olive oil spray.
  • Air fry for 15 minutes on 400 degrees, flipping in between cooking to allow all sides to cook.

Tomato Paste Sauce

  • Saute onions and garlic until fragrant.
  • Add tomato paste and epis. Stir. Cook for 1 minute on medium-low heat.
  • Add water. Herbs. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Let simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with Meatballs and rice. Enjoy.p

Notes

Haitian Meatballs Pro Tips:

  • Place the meatballs in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days. 
  • Meatballs can last up to 6 months in the freezer, and longer if it is properly packaged. Using a freezer-friendly container or bag will help with maintaining the quality of the dish. 
  • Flour - This is also used when frying them over the stove.
