Crispy Air Fryer Fish And Chips

These Air Fryer Fish and Chips are exactly what you need to put on the menu every week! Air Fryer recipes are an excellent way to enjoy healthy, crispy foods without using a large amount of oil.

Ingredients

  • 2 tilapia fillets
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp. old bay seasoning
  • ¼ Tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Wash and pat dry the fish. Set aside. Mix and prepare the seasoning in a separate bowl. Set aside.
    Prepare the eggs and water mixture in a different bowl. Set aside.

  • To bread, place the fish in the flour mixture.
    Then in the egg mixture.
    After, transfer the fish back to the flour mixture and coat well on all sides.
    Spray the basket lightly with cooking oil, then place the fish in the air fryer basket. Spray the fish with cooking oil and cook in the air fryer for 12 minutes on 400 degrees or longer depending on the air fryer you have. See notes in post regarding which air fryer to use.
    Serve warm with chips or fries and serve warm.

  • Does fish batter contain milk? It can. It all depends on the recipe. I personally prefer it without milk. However, I still enjoy the recipes that do include milk in the batter. The choice is yours.
