How To Make Mango Puree

This Mango puree recipe will be your next favorite topping and your go to mango sauce for any special occasion.

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • High-speed blender or immersion blender

Ingredients

  • 2 Ripe Mangos Peeled and cut into cubes
  • Juice from ½ Lemon
  • Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water

Instructions

  • Over medium-low heat, add the mangos lemon and sugar to the saucepan.
    Stir to mix well.

  • Once the mangos starts to caramelize or to start turning brown, add the water (see notes below). Mix well. Simmer for about 1 to 2 minutes.
    Turn off the heat and use an immersion blender to blend the ingredients.

  • Transfer the puree mangos to a sieve and strain. 
    Enjoy as a topping with your favorite breakfast dish or dessert.

Notes

Caramelizing the mango is completely optional. You can skip this process and start blending the mango as soon as they are cooked. This process should take about 2-4 minutes.
