Butter Bean Dip Recipe

Homemade butter beans hummus is worlds apart from anything you can buy at the store, and this easy yet impressive dip recipe can be easily put together using just a few staple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 15.5 oz. Canned Butter Beans Rinsed and drained
  • Cup Tahini
  • 4 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Tsp. Cumin
  • 1 ½ Tsp. Salt Or to taste. We used Kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Water

Instructions

  • Drain and rinse the beans in a colander with lukewarm water. Transfer to the food processor.

  • Next add the tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic cloves, cumin and salt. Blend for 4-5 minutes until the hummus is creamy.

*** If your hummus seems too thick add water to thin it out, a tablespoon at a time.
*** Serve with fresh vegetables or crackers immediately or store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
