Papaya juice is one of the many succulent pleasures of Haiti. While many other countries have several different versions, this one is as simple as it is sweet and savory.
½PapayaPeel, halve, seed, and cube one half of the papaya. Cut the cubes into ¾ - inch cubes.
1CupVanilla Almond MilkUnsweetened
Pinch Of SaltOr ¼ Tsp.
1Tbsp.Lemon Juice Fresh
1Tsp.Vanilla Extract
½CupMaple Syrup
Crushed IceOptional
Instructions
Peel, halve, seed, and cube one half of the papaya. Cut the cubes into ¾ - inch cubes. Then add it to the blender.
Then add the almond milk, salt, maple sirup, lemon juice, and vanila extract. You may add milk to thicken it; but this is completely optional. Blend to a smooth consistency.
Pour in glass, serve and enjoy.
Notes
For this recipe, I would recommend getting the green papaya with an orangy amber hue for optimum flavor and softness to make this papaya juice.***Calories are estimated per serving***
