Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Rice
  • 2 ½ Cups Water
  • 12 oz Beef Smoked Sausage
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 chopped celery stalks
  • 4 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 thyme sprigs
  • 2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • In a medium size pot, heat your oil. Add your sausage and cook it thouroughly. Add the onions and garlic as well as the cajun seasoning. Combine all the ingredients than add the bell pepper, celery, and green onions. Continue to combine.
    Add the rice and combine all the ingredients together. Make sure to stir in the rice so every grain can be infuse with the seasoning. Add in the bay leaves and cayenne pepper.

  • Lastly add in the water and stir all ingredients. Cover and let it cook on medium-low for 20 minutes. 
    Uncover and stir the rice well and cover again for another 5 minutes. Romove from heat, fluff the rice and make sure it is all cooked through and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
