Cooking frozen corn on the cob in the instant pot will help speed up your summer favorite meals. An easy instant pot sweet corn side dish that comes together quickly, making your weeknight and weekend meals a breeze!
Why does this recipe works?
No more guessing if the corn is cooked or not. This summertime staple comes out tender and juicy each time. It’s the perfect side dish to serve with grilled ribs or with this air fryer whole chicken.
Using fresh Corn is essential, but if you are aren’t able to find the fresh corn, then frozen corn o the cob will also work in the instant pot. I love the natural sweet flavor of fresh corn, and at times the underlying earthy taste that you can only get from fresh corn.
Once cooked, the corn is slathered with sweet butter. Then is sprinkled with salt and pepper to balance out the flavor and making this side dish even more enjoyable.

How To Choose The Best Corn On The Cob
Choosing the best corn is key to enjoying boiled corn, as you want it to be as fresh as possible.
In my option, buying corn on the cob from farmers markets has a greater guarantee of a fresher taste.
The corn most likely may have been picked a couple days prior to being made available for purchase.
Stovetop Cooking Instructions And Tips
If you don’t have an Instant Pot, it’s totally fine. You can still cook the frozen corn on the cob in boiling water. Cook them for 5-8 minutes in boiling water with a little bit of sugar (optional) to enhance the sweetness of the corn. For this recipe, I did not add sugar in the water.
You do not need to add salt to the water. However, feel free to add sugar to the water (over the corn), as it does enhance the sweet flavor of the corn.
